The Botanical of Recovery

Cynanchum wilfordii (Wilford’s Cynanchum)

Cynanchum wilfordii, commonly known as Baeksu-o in Korea, is a perennial climbing plant whose root has been traditionally used for centuries.
The name “Baeksu-o” conveys the image of “restoring white hair to black,” symbolizing rejuvenation, longevity, and vitality. Its traditional use is also documented in Korea’s Donguibogam (1610), where the name Eun-jo-rong is associated with C. wilfordii.
Characterized by yellow-green flowers, heart-shaped leaves, and fleshy medicinal roots, Baeksu-o has long been associated with strength and vitality.
In EstroG-100®, the root of C. wilfordii is carefully selected as one of its three signature botanicals.
